I had a truly great experience with Kilimanjaro Travel & Tours.

Our guide, Haji, was amazing from start to finish. He was extremely attentive and kept checking in to ensure everything was going as we wanted, and if we needed to make any changes, he’d just sort it out. It made the whole trip feel really easy and stress-free.

He also took us to some really great places to eat. Because of that, we got to try such good local food that we probably wouldn’t have by ourselves. He was always giving us tips on food safety, too, which was really reassuring.

The tours themselves struck a good balance between learning and enjoying the experience. In Stone Town, he shared a wealth of background and history, but also made it really interactive — we could ask questions, and he’d adjust the content depending on what we were more interested in (such as spending more time in certain places or moving on if we felt ready).

The spice tour was another highlight. He had so much knowledge about all the different spices, we got to taste lots of things along the way, and it wasn’t just educational but fun too (including watching someone climb a coconut tree!). We also had local food that day, which was such a nice part of the experience.

When we went to Nungwi Beach for the snorkelling tour, everything was so well organised. I felt really safe the whole time, and the people he organised the boat with clearly cared a lot too — they made sure we had enough time, saw loads of fish, and even got to see dolphins.

Overall we just felt really looked after the entire time. It never felt rushed or generic, and it genuinely felt tailored to us.
