Travel by SGR from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, explore the town and surrounding natural attractions, enjoy a waterfall visit and local lunch, then continue to Mikumi for an overnight stay. The following morning, head into Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive before returning to Morogoro for the evening SGR train back to Dar es Salaam.

Day 01 :

Dar es Salaam → Morogoro → Mikumi

7:30 AM – Report at Dar es Salaam SGR Station

Guests meet at the SGR station for check-in and departure preparations.

Morning – SGR to Morogoro

Board the SGR train from Dar es Salaam and enjoy the journey towards Morogoro.

Upon arrival in Morogoro, transfer into two groups of 20 guests, each travelling in a comfortable minibus for the day's activities.

Morogoro town tour

Explore Morogoro town and experience the local atmosphere, history and everyday life of this beautiful destination at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains.

Waterfall visit

Continue to a scenic waterfall area for a refreshing nature experience and time to enjoy the surroundings.

Lunch

Enjoy lunch before continuing towards Mikumi National Park.

Afternoon – Transfer to Mikumi

Depart Morogoro and travel towards Mikumi National Park.

Check in at your accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Dinner & overnight

Dinner is included at the accommodation.

Day 02 :

Mikumi Safari → Morogoro → Dar es Salaam

Breakfast

Enjoy breakfast and prepare for your safari adventure.

Morning – Full-day game drive

Depart for Mikumi National Park in safari vehicles.

For the safari, guests will be arranged in vehicles with a maximum of 6 guests per safari vehicle, providing a more comfortable wildlife-viewing experience.

Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos and other wildlife that may be encountered during the game drive.

Lunch in the park

Lunch will be served during the safari, allowing guests to enjoy the experience without leaving the park for a midday meal.

4:30 PM – Safari ends

The game drive ends at approximately 4:30 PM, followed by the drive back towards Morogoro town.

Evening – SGR back to Dar es Salaam

Arrive in Morogoro in time for the evening SGR service back to Dar es Salaam.

Expected arrival in Dar es Salaam: approximately 9:10 PM.
