Itinerary
Follow the spectacular Great Migration across Tanzania's legendary northern safari parks on this 7-day adventure through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Experience extraordinary wildlife, dramatic landscapes and unforgettable game drives while searching for the migration's vast herds of wildebeest and zebra.
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant population, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a game drive through the park, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.
In the late afternoon, continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before departing towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.
The journey takes you through beautiful highland scenery and local villages. Depending on your interests and schedule, there may be an opportunity to visit a local Maasai community.
Arrive at your accommodation near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight.

Today you descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an extensive game drive.
The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest and, with some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your wildlife exploration.
Later, ascend from the crater and return to your accommodation.

The migration occurs year-round, but the location of the herds changes constantly. Our guides use seasonal knowledge and current information to maximize your chances of finding the herds. However, wildlife movements are natural and cannot be guaranteed.
It depends on what you want to see. January–March is excellent for the calving season, while approximately July–October can offer opportunities to witness migration activity in northern Serengeti and the Mara River region.
River crossings are seasonal and unpredictable. Even during peak migration months, a crossing cannot be guaranteed.
Yes. You can add nights, change accommodation levels, include cultural experiences or extend the safari with Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro or another destination.
